From his humble roots in dime comic books, he grew to become a serial hero, a frequent guest star on the Superman radio show, and then the star of his own explosively successful TV series, spawning a nationwide epidemic of Batmania. Bruce Scivally is a film historian who teaches classes in scriptwriting, film history, media theory and pre-production at the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago and Columbia College. His latest book, Billion Dollar Batman, is a comprehensive history of the Dark Knight from 10 cent comic book to global icon.
The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20 in The Hackworth IMAX Dome Theater at The Tech Museum. Tickets for movie extra.
